P.S. World Post Day is celebrated on October 9, remembering this date for establishment of Universal Postal Union in 1874 in Bern, Switzerland. The Universal Postal Union was the start of global communications revolution.
World Post Day was established in 1969 in Japanese capital, Tokyo. Since then, world post day is being celebrated all over the world highlighting the importance of postal services. Each year, through a globalnetwork of 660 thousand post offices around the world are sent: 6 bilions parcels, 440 bilion letters and millions of money transfers.
